The heart of Cincy celebrates our love of Cincinnati’s culture, pride, history, and common identity in diversity. The flag embodies the motto of Cincinnati “Juncta Juvant” or “Unity is Strength”.
The blue waves, which mimic the City of Cincinnati flag, represent the Ohio River, upon which the city was founded. The red heart represents our love of our city. The Heart of Cincy was designed by Adam E. Hyland in 2011.

Cincinnati Flag Society will advocate for business and government organizations to integrate elements of the city flag into designs for local, national, and international consumption. Developing Cincinnati’s shared identity is at the core of CFS’s plan. We aim to use the Cincinnati flag as the centerpiece of a branding campaign to strengthen shared identity and spark positive perceptions about Cincinnati from the local to international level.
